My Blog: Blueprint of a Strange Mind...

Imagine you’re me. You see the world for what it really is: a gross, disturbing place where beauty is destroyed by people and people are destroyed by people. Every person is caught up in their own false reality tunnel, focusing on themselves without giving a damn about anyone else. When we turn on the news we see nothing but death, destruction, and everything we should be fighting for slipping away, but does that stop us from watching it? Does it change out priorities? Our habits? No.

When we drive down the road at night and see flashing lights in the distance, why are we drawn to them? Why do we suddenly get excited, and feel some sort of sick rush? Why are we thinking "damn, I can't wait to see what’s happened to that mangled car up there.”

As oppressive governments slaughter their citizens abroad, we walk the streets and go about our daily lives without a care in the world. As people in
Africa die from disease, we go to work every day in fear that we won’t be able to pay our television bill. As suicide bombers blow up school buses in the Middle East, we sit at home and play Nintendo.

Tiptoe through our shiny city
with our diamond slippers on
do our gay ballet on ice
with bluebirds on our shoulders
We're half awake in a fake empire...
